Happy Paws Charity Organization, founded in 2004, strives to be a service to the STRAY animal community in Malta and to the people who care for them, by providing Free neutering for those caretakers who have joined our Team, in our own Veterinary Clinic, promoting our stray dog adoption scheme and various other programs. Apart from our resident Veterinary Staff, it is completely run by volunteers. We finance the organization by operating 3 charity shops, through sponsorships, donations, our Rainbow wall and fund-raising events.
Happy Paws is a registered and recognised non-profit NGO (VO 0119)

We have highlighted the word strays, because our Charity's aim is to help animals living on the streets, that have not been fortunate enough to find an owner. We love all animals, but feel that they are the ones that need our help most.Read More

Volunteers are the key to our success! The time and effort volunteers spend at our Charity shops, with the animals in our Veterinary Clinic and helping out at our events, enables Happy Paws to keep working for our stray animals.
We are always looking out to welcome friendly, outgoing people, to help in the clinic or shops. You can enhance skills you already have or develop new ones. Volunteering with Happy Paws is knowing that you are a part of a team providing care to many animals in need. You will soon come to realize just how valuable you are to the animals and to the Happy Paws team.
As we all know, the dog sanctuaries are full and we have been thinking how to interest animal lovers to adopt a dog, taking into account that adopting a dog is for the duration of its life! It is like deciding to have a baby, for better or for worse.
So.......here it is, The Happy Paws Adoption Scheme: Read More
Occasionally, after treatment we have animals in the clinic that cannot go directly back to the street or sanctuary and need some recovery time. As a foster parent, you would be responsible for taking a homeless animal into your home and providing him/her with food, water, toys and lots of love. We provide all medical care, and help you with any questions you may have during the foster period. Foster parents may also be required to transport their foster animals to scheduled medical appointments. In some instances the foster parent may be asked to administer medications or special diets. Foster parents should be committed to the animal/s that they are fostering for the agreed foster period.
